December 15, 2009 – Greenbelt, MD – The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) has presented its Small Business Subcontractor of the Year award to ASRC Management Services in recognition of the company’s significant contributions to the NSSC. ASRC Management Services, a subcontractor to CSC, received the nomination from NASA officials.

“This award recognizes not only our commitment to the NSSC team to support NASA and its mission, but also the innovation, dedication and hard work of our employees who, on a daily basis, perform the crucial behind-the-scene tasks,” said Jim Caldwell, project manager for ASRC Management Services on the NSSC contract.

Under their subcontract with CSC, ASRC Management Services provides critical finance support services such as payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable, among other services. The company helped re-engineer previously manual processes into automated processes, lowering the risk of error and increasing the rate of efficiency while focusing on providing outstanding customer service to the ten NASA centers. “We strive to identify and implement new and innovative ways to make these financial business activities more efficient and cost effective,” Caldwell said.

In addition to the NSSC’s subcontract, ASRC Management Services supports spectrum management and engineering services at NASA headquarters and promotes knowledge sharing and training nationwide through the NASA Academy of Project/Program and Engineering Leadership (APPEL) contract.
